We propose to extend the Leytonstone North (LSN) Controlled Parking Zone in the section of Wallwood Road, E11, between Kings Road and Queens Road.
This part of Wallwood Road is located between the existing LSN and LSW (Leytonstone West) CPZs, which operate Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Extending the CPZ would reserve on-street parking for permit holders during hours of operation. This would enable residents and visitors with permits to park in any permit bay on any road within the wider LSN CPZ area.
We are consulting residents of Lena Kennedy Close on introducing a Controlled Parking Zone. This scheme will help stop commuters parking in the road. It will also help us enforce the car-free status of new developments in the area.
This consultation closed on 17 December 2020.

The Council has received requests and complaints from the local community regarding the impact of traffic in Ainslie Wood Road. In response, we have developed potential options to help reduce through traffic using the area as a “rat-run” and to address local traffic and road safety concerns. We would like your views on these proposals.
The two proposed options are shown in the plans enclosed within the letter.
Both options have been designed to reduce the volume, and impact of traffic using residential roads in the area.
This would help improve road safety for all road users and reduce traffic congestion, helping to improve local air quality and making it safer and easier for children to walk and cycle to school.
We are consulting all properties in Ainslie Wood Road, Acorn Close, The Lawns, Oakfield, Ainslie Wood Gardens, Bourne Gardens, Underwood Road, Lynton Road, Palace View Road, Inks Green, Ropers Avenue, Ainslie Wood Crescent, Rolls Park Road, Broad Oak Close, Royston Avenue, Frances Road, Field Close, Edward Avenue, Cranston Gardens, Coningsby Gardens, and Woodside Gardens E4.
To express your views, please review each of the options before completing the enclosed questionnaire and returning it in the prepaid envelope provided to reach us before 3 December 2021.
If you would like clarification on any part of this process, please email Traffic.Scheme@walthamforest.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can write to Traffic Team, London Borough of Waltham Forest, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS.
