Supported collection service

If you live alone and you are physically unable to present your two wheeled bins or food waste caddies for collection at the front boundary of your property, then you can apply for a supported collection service.

This service is only available to properties who are required to present their two wheeled bins or food waste caddies for collection.

If you live in a property with access to communal four wheeled bins and you require support in getting access to communal bins please contact your block’s managing agent or freeholder to provide this support. 

Bins and food waste caddies will be taken for emptying and placed back to the agreed storage point by the collection crew.

If you live with someone who is able bodied we would ask that the bins and food waste caddies are put out by them.

You can request this service for:

• 3 months
• 6 months
• 12 months
• Indefinitely

To support your application you must upload supporting documents to the request as to the reason you require the service. Acceptable examples of proof include:

• Personal Independence Payment
• Disability Living Allowance
• A signed letter from your GP

We will check your eligibility for this service to support your request which includes and a visit to your property may be required.

Supported bin collection service – Bin not returned

If your property is on the supported bin collection service and the bin or food waste caddy has not been returned to the collection point. Please let us know by using the supported bin collection service form within three days of the scheduled bin collection day.
