Waltham Forest holiday activity and food programme 5 to 16 year olds
Parents and carers throughout Waltham Forest may be eligible to benefit from a free holiday clubs programme for children and young people during school holidays.
The government’s Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) enables children and young people to get involved in wide range of fun activities and holiday clubs and enjoy a daily meal during their winter holidays. There really is something for everyone including amazing arts and crafts, dazzling dramatics and outdoor adventures!
The local programme is available only for those children who are eligible for benefit related free school meals.
Eligible participants will be sent a letter which includes a unique code which is to be used for bookings. Booking is essential on all activities so book early to avoid disappointment.
Children with additional needs
All activities are inclusive of children with SEN and/or disabilities, however if your child does have additional needs please contact us on 020 8496 4720 before booking so we can ensure the provider can meet the needs of your child.
For queries, please call 020 8496 4720 and ask for Waltham Forest Holiday Activity Programme.
Holiday club providers in the borough
If you are looking for all day childcare, there are many holiday clubs open across the borough during the holidays. These clubs are open all day Monday to Friday.
Don't forget, if you use an Ofsted registered holiday club you can receive help with your childcare costs if you are eligible. Further information about tax credits, tax-free childcare, childcare vouchers and other support can be found on the childcare services website.
