Family Sessions for 5 to 11 years

This Summer, we will be running a range of free family activities across the borough between 10am to 12:30pm daily from Monday 28 July to Thursday 21 August 2025.

Weeks 1 to 3 

• Central: Chapel End Early Years, Brookscroft Rd, London E17 4LH
• Central: Henry Maynard, Maynard Path entrance, E17 9LT
• North: Longshaw Primary School (Longshaw Road Entrance), E4 6LH
• South: Mayville Primary School (Mayville Road entrance) 79 Lincoln St, London E11 4PZ

Week 4 

• Central: Chapel End Early Years, Brookscroft Rd, London E17 4LH
• Central: Henry Maynard, Maynard Path entrance, E17 9LT
• North: Longshaw Primary School (Longshaw Road Entrance), E4 6LH
• South: Leytonstone School (Forest Road Entrance), 159 Colworth Rd, London E11 1JD

All sessions are led by Waltham Forest Play Workers, with specialist workshops provided by professionals from a variety of local organisations. These workshops include circus skills, face painting, slime workshops, Nerf games, multisports, and many more.

The activities provided throughout these sessions are suitable and designed for children aged 5 to 11.  An adult must accompany children aged 5 to 7 throughout the sessions. Children aged 8 to 11 may attend the session independently; however, a parent, guardian, or carer must attend the first session to complete the relevant paperwork. 

Family sessions are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

No booking is required.

Join us for our send only stay and play family sessions for children aged 5 to 11 who live or go to school in the London borough of Waltham Forest. 

Running from 1:30pm to 4pm Sessions will provide a more relaxed and quieter space. 

• Tuesday 12 August: Henry Maynard Primary School, Maynard Path entrance, E17 9LT
• Tuesday 19 August: Henry Maynard Primary School, Maynard Path entrance, E17 9LT

Activities will be tailored to support the needs of children with additional needs and their families. A parent or carer will be required to stay with their child during the session. Siblings are welcome to join, but they must also be booked. 

Come and join the play bus at a park near you. We have messy play, songs, board games and much more.

• Cathall Green, E11: 10am to 12pm

Tuesday 5 August 2025

• Pimp Hall, E4: 10am to 12pm
• Highams Park: E4 2pm to 4pm

Look out for banners outside the parks.
