Targeted support for carers

Carers First provide services for unpaid carers on behalf of Waltham Forest Council including group and one to one practical and emotional support, information, guidance and training to carers, including financial support and other benefits you may be eligible to.
Waltham Forest offers an exciting Young Carers Programme for carers under 18 access to activities and opportunities, that provide them with respite from their caring role and responsibilities.

Cruse Bereavement Support UK’s leading bereavement charity, offering support, information and advice to those experiencing bereavement. A free helpline is also available at 0808 808 1677 (Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 3pm)

Waltham Forest Conscious Care CommunityWaltham Forest Conscious Care Community consists of a variety of peer support groups for people experiencing mental illness.  Groups include Post Natal Depression; Eating Disorders and Body Dysmorphia; Anxiety and Depression by using Creative Writing; Sketch Appeal for the non-artist; Body Movement for women.  Other groups are for parents/carers of a child with a physical disability and one for parents/carers with a child with autism and/or ADHD.
