Town centres and high streets

Highams Park is a small yet unique district centre with a range of small independent retailers as well as a large supermarket and associated mixed-use development. It benefits from access to Overground network to Liverpool Street and proximity to good quality green open spaces.  

The area has an adopted neighbourhood plan led by the Highams Park Planning Group who were also successful in securing GLA High Streets for All seed funding to transform the station forecourt into an active community space.

Highams Park will benefit from Levelling Up Fund investment around Highams Park Station, Larkshall Road and from investment in local parks, Chase Lane and Rolls Parks.  

Working with the Highams Park Planning Group, the intention is to provide an improved public space in the station car park to accommodate public events, markets and retail spaces.
