While access is from Fulbourne Road a large part of the site is adjacent to Forest Road.

The site is in the Forest Road Corridor growth area within theĀ Draft Local Plan.

What is planned?

The proposal is for a residential led development with commercial space and public space for community use.

Patchworks will deliver high quality regeneration reflecting the heritage and culture of the area, providing:

  • around 580 new homes, including affordable housing, new commercial and community space, and attractive, welcoming gardens and play areas
  • a greener environment with energy efficient buildings, environmental improvements along Forest Road and over 130 trees, including 80 new trees.
  • new amenities, including a cycle hub, and new pedestrian routes integrating with existing assets and amenities in the area.

Timeline:

  • March 2021: Planning permission granted
  • June 2021: Hoardings erected
  • Summer 2021: Site preparation including demolition
  • September 2021: Start on site including piling
  • October 2021: Block A Foundation
  • December 2021:Tower Crane 1 erected
  • Summer 2023: Block A & C erected
  • March 2025: Completion
