Renting a garage

If you need somewhere to park your car, or general storage (no toxic or flammable goods) renting a garage in the borough could be your solution. 

Garages currently cost £16 per week (plus VAT if you’re not a Waltham Forest Council tenant or leaseholder). Remember you will need to arrange your own insurance.

Apply for a garage

Simply complete the online application form. Priority is given to Council tenants and leaseholders, but we are happy to receive applications from other residents.

We currently have the following vacant garage blocks in these electoral wards.

Wood Street Ward:

Tom Smith House, Raglan Road, E17 9EQ

Ellen Miller House, Raglan Road, Walthamstow, E17 9EG

High Street Ward:

Westbury Road, Walthamstow, E17 6RH

Hatherley House, 30 Westbury Road, Walthamstow, E17 6SD

Already rent a garage

If you rent a garage and want to end your licence agreement, complete the garage vacation form (Word). You can return the form by post or email using the contact details below. 

Concerned about use of a garage?

If you suspect a garage is being used for illegal purposes like storing illegal goods or terrorism, report it to the police now. Phone 999 as normal, or the anti-terrorist hotline on 0800 789 321.
