In the near future it will be possible for opposite sex couples to enter into a civil partnership. This follows the passing into law of the Civil Partnerships, Marriages and Deaths Registration Act 2019 on the 26 March 2019. The General Register Office is drawing up implementation procedures, which will guide Registration Officers in providing this service to the public. Please return to this webpage for updates on implementation in the near future.
