Help shape the future of Chingford Mount

Filed under: Planning and building control

Working together with the community in Chingford, we want to create a ‘15-minute neighbourhood’ Area Framework that reflects the needs of local people. This means everyone should have the things they need to lead a healthy and fulfilling life, including shops, parks, GPs, gyms, schools, libraries, cultural spaces and more, 15 minutes from home, whether walking, cycling or by public transport.

Following feedback from residents in January 2022, we have produced a Chingford Mount Town Centre Area Framework, showing ideas and projects that could be delivered in the area, helping to bring more opportunities to residents.

Now we want to hear your views to help shape the future and ensure this vital part of Chingford thrives for years to come.

Suggestions to improve to Chingford Mount include topics such as the high street, travel, public spaces, and parks to help the area look even better and feel safe. Other proposals include local community projects at the 228 Chingford Mount space and ideas to support local businesses.

How to have your say

The survey is open from 7 November 2022 to 19 December 2022.

Read about the proposals and share your views online through our Commonplace platform.
