How to correct a record
If there is an error on your certificate, you will need to apply to the General Register Office (GRO) to request a correction. You can use the forms provided in the relevant sections below.
Cost: £83 for corrections processed locally, or £99 if the correction requires approval by the GRO.
Submission:
Return the completed application form along with original supporting documents to the Register Office at either Leytonstone or Walthamstow Library.
