Care Homes

Mapleton Road is a purpose built single-storey building situated in a residential area of Chingford that can accommodate 24 residents. The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to support people over the age of 65 with dementia. 

There are two units within the home each with 12 bedrooms. All the bedrooms are single room accommodation, each of which contains built-in wardrobes, a vanity unit, sitting areas and a bay window. Service users are actively encouraged to personalize their room with items of their own furniture, photos, ornaments etc. All residents have access to shared toilets and bathing facilities as well as to communal dining/lounge areas. There is also a smaller lounge room that can be used for visits/quiet time.

The home has attractive landscaped gardens complete with a pond (enclosed for safety reasons by guardrails and perimeter fencing). In addition, an internal planted garden area makes a light and sunny space for service users and visitors to sit and chat.

Activities are available to residents based on their interests, All residents can access the services of a hairdresser who visits fortnightly, if they wish, for which a reasonable charge is made.
