For over 50 years, Suntrap Forest Centre has offered visitors of all ages opportunities to understand, respect and protect the natural world. Many return again and again, or are from generations of families who've grown to love the borough’s green spaces.
Located on the edge of east London, in Epping Forest, Suntrap nestles amongst stunning landscaped gardens, terraces, wildflower meadow and woodland.
The centre reopened in summer 2021 after a multi-million-pound refurbishment. It's now equipped to provide year-round outdoor environmental learning activities for schools, families, adults and community groups.
The residential site can accommodate 80 visitors in two separate groups of 40 campers. Our wooden 4-person eco pods are perfect for 21st century camping.
The Meadow Lodge building with full height glass walls is a short walk across the camping site. In warm weather, the dining facilities open-up for outdoor eating.
