Waltham Forest Music Service (WFMS) provides musical education and experiences for children and young people in Waltham Forest. Below are some of their services available to young people:
Music lessons
Each Year, instrumental and singing lessons are taught to over 4,000 pupils in schools across Waltham Forest and at their Music School.
Music groups
WFMS runs choirs, groups, ensembles and orchestras for young musicians of all ages and abilities, covering a range of classical and contemporary music genres. Groups are held after school and on Saturdays at their Music School.
Mini Musicians
WFMS's music courses for babies, toddlers and children aged 4 to 6 years use singing, musical instruments and movement to develop children’s musicality and confidence from birth.
Performances and events
A programme of workshops and performances in a variety of venues in Waltham Forest and further afield give young people the opportunity to experience live music and to showcase their work.
Instrument hire
Musical instruments are available for hire to pupils and schools across the borough who are learning music through WFMS.
