Free school meals

Eligible children attending a nursery class that is a DFE registered maintained or academy school in Waltham Forest are able to get free school meals if they attend the nursery all day. (This does not mean 5 days per week but the child must be in attendance both before and after the lunch break and not just the morning or afternoon session)  

Parents/Carers must also provide evidence from the nursery, which confirms that the child attends for a full day.    

Parents/Carers of children in nursery provision in a maintained or academy school in Waltham Forest who would like to claim free school meals must complete an infant free school meals form.

If you also receive any of the qualifying benefits, your school nursery can claim early years pupil premium (EYPP) funding which is an additional funding given to schools to improve the education they provide for eligible two, three and four-year-olds.
