Apply for a grant

As part of our Reduce Reuse and Recycle programme, Waltham Forest Council are launching a fund for local community projects that aim to encourage residents to be more mindful with their choices; encouraging a reduction in consumption, motivating and encouraging residents to realise the benefits of embracing reuse and preloved items. We are excited to announce that we have grants of up to £2000!

The fund aims to develop and support the work of community groups to reach more residents than the Council would ordinarily be able to and to ensure as many people as possible are able to access the benefits of behaviour changing initiatives.

The Waste Prevention & Recycling Initiatives Fund 2024 grant applications are open and applications close on Friday 31st May 2024.

Applicants can apply for up to £2000 to support their project.

Applicants must apply as part of a constituted voluntary or community sector group or organisation that will deliver the project. A constituted group means that the group has a formal structure, its own bank account, and an agreed constitution (a statement of the aims and rules of the group and what the group wants to do). Please refer to the  application guidance (PDF) for details of the required documentation for applicants.

Applicants must complete their project between 1 June to 31 December 2024.
