What is planned

A dedicated musical and cultural venue is set to return to Waltham Forest.

Following extensive public engagement by the developer and a planning permission from Waltham Forest Council, are on site constructing the development The plans will see a new basement music and cultural venue, including a bar and café, which will hold an audience of up to 500 people, on the old Standard pub site in Blackhorse Lane. The venue will be delivered alongside new homes, cycle parking, public realm improvements, landscaping and amenity space.

The 9 storey building will provide 321 ‘shared living’ rooms. The development will be car free except for the provision of disabled car parking spaces, and cycle parking will be made available.

What happens when

Scape are currently constructing on site the development and the main build will be completed by Spring 2026.
