Who we are and what we do

The Sustainable Transport team is based within the Neighbourhoods and Environment directorate at Waltham Forest Council. They are responsible for installing and maintaining the network of over 600 Bike Hangar units. These are located on public highway land in the borough.

As well as installing and maintaining Bike Hangars, the team also manages a membership management system. This is to ensure the service is delivered to a good standard.
