Prevent

In Waltham Forest, we have an established community board known as the Independent Prevent Advisory Group (iPAG). This board is made up of:

• local community and voluntary sector organisations
• charities
• faith groups
• statutory partners

The iPAG provides advice on the development of the local Prevent strategy. It also supports its related projects to address the risk of radicalisation within the borough.

This allows us to tackle radicalisation in the community effectively. We can also ensure our strategy is inclusive and responsive to emerging risks related to terrorism.
