Open Space Strategy 2010-2020 (PDF)

In September 2010, we adopted our 'Open Space Strategy' for Waltham Forest. It reported on the amount, location and quality of open space in the borough. The strategy lasted until 2020.

Our Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) highlights the borough's surprising wealth of flowers and animals, from gardens and cemeteries to woodlands, marshes, streams and rivers.

Waltham Forest Tree Strategy 2017-2022 (PDF)

This strategy sets out how we will plan and manage our urban forest and tree stock over the coming years. We consulted on the draft strategy during August 2010 and received 237 responses. These were taken into account in developing the final strategy.
