The Early Help Service works in with other professionals, parents, and carers to intervene early in a child's life to make sure that children have the best start in life.

The aim is to address problems early - before they can escalate - and to enable families to support their children to reach their full potential. It supports families with children and young people aged 0 to 19 and up to 25 with a disability. Early Help run a Community Drop-in, a place where everyone can come and get friendly support and information from local volunteers, community organisations and Waltham Forest Early Help teams in an informal space.

Find out more information about upcoming Community Drop-in events on Waltham Forest's events page.

If you feel that you need help caring for your child, or if you are concerned about the welfare or safety of a child you will need to contact Children’s Social Care. The way that you do this is the same for disabled and non-disabled children. All referrals to Children’s Social Care are first dealt with by the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
