The Junction is run by Waltham Forest Council. It supports the local community by offering educational, skills-based courses to help advance careers. The Junction aims to boost Waltham Forest residents' skills, health, and earning potential. It also provides art and creative skills classes, as well as support options for people of migrant, refugee, and asylum seeker backgrounds.
They also offer a range of services, including:
- Education and career support
- Free assessment and placing sessions
- Courses and training from other providers
The Lloyd Park Children's Charity also provides services from this location. There is also a children and family centre on the ground floor.
The Skills Within
The Skills within Mentoring Programme is hosting events and activities at Leyton Library). These sessions are a safe space for young people to come and relax with friends. Sessions include positive activities, career guidance, mentorship, referral to emotional support and wellbeing services.
