Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships combine practical on-the-job skills training with off-the-job learning. You will receive training that is relevant to your job and be paid a salary, along with benefits such as holiday entitlement and sick pay, which comes as a part of a fixed term contract. Start at a level to suit you, with support if you have a disability. Apprenticeships are advertised all year round.

  • Intermediate 2 (Level 1 or GCSE grades 1 to 3 in Maths and English required)
  • Advanced Level 3 (5 GCSE’s grade 4-9 including Maths and English)
  • Higher Level 4 to 6 (Level 3 qualification)
  • Location: most of the time will be spent in the workplace and you will be given 6 hours a week to complete your qualification. You will be assessed either within your workplace by a visiting assessor, or by attending college.
  • Duration: a minimum of 12-15 months to 30 months
  • Entry requirements: this will vary dependent on the industry, job role and apprenticeship level. No UCAS points needed Apprenticeship vacancies 
  • Application process: assessment centre testing skills, selection day, interview.
  • Qualifications: apprenticeship certificate, diploma, degree, and masters depending on level
