Every year, by law we must contact addresses in Waltham Forest to confirm everyone who's eligible to register to vote. We will start this year’s canvass at the end of July.

Your household will receive either:

  • A confirmation letter sent to The Occupier: This will confirm the names of everyone we have registered at your property. You must then check these details are correct. You only need to respond if you want to change or update this information.
  • A canvass form sent to The Occupier: This ask you to confirm who is eligible to register in your household. By law, you must provide this information. If you’ve given us an email address before, we’ll use this to contact you about the canvass form. If not, we will post it to you.

How to respond:

You can confirm and update your household details by either:

  • Visiting: householdresponse.com/walthamforest
You’ll need to enter both parts of the security code we sent you, and your postcode.
  • Posting your canvass form in the return envelope provided. We won’t send one if no response is required. Instead, if you want to make changes, use the link above.

Remember, you can be fined up to £1,000 if you fail to provide the information we ask for. If you give us false information, the penalty is up to 51 weeks in prison, or an unlimited on conviction.
