The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has published its final recommendations for its electoral review of the borough. The Commission has proposed that the borough retains 60 Councillors representing 22 wards (an increase of 2). All wards will have some changes to their boundaries with some more substantial changes to create new wards.

The full proposals can be seen on the Commission’s dedicated review page.

The proposals will be put before Parliament in the form of a draft order for a period of 40 sitting days. If Parliament accepts the recommendations the new boundaries will be introduced at the Council elections in May 2022
