Everyone in Waltham Forest deserves to live in a neighbourhood they’re proud of, with good homes, thriving businesses, vibrant town centres and the infrastructure to support them. We’re working together with communities, developers and partners to deliver regeneration and growth that benefits everyone.
Thanks to funding secured from development partners and government grants, we’ve brought iconic projects to life. These include destinations such as Walthamstow Wetlands and the new Soho Theatre, as well as new homes, community facilities and commercial spaces at Coronation Square. We’re also delivering upgrades at Leyton Station in partnership with TFL, and improving town centres across the borough, including in Highams Park and Chingford.
Regeneration and growth work best when it’s shaped by the people who live and work in our neighbourhoods. That’s why community voice is central to our approach, from reimagining our town centres to creating new neighbourhoods like Fellowship Square, and estate regeneration at Priory Court, where residents are helping design the places they call home.
Together with local entrepreneurs, partners and communities, we’re also backing small businesses to thrive. From the KERB market in Leyton to creative hubs like the Blackhorse Collective: Creative Enterprise Zone, we’re creating the spaces, networks and support that help enterprise and opportunity grow.
