Winter in Lea Bridge: Argall Avenue Open Studios

Published: 16 November 2022

This Winter, we have lots of events going on in all corners of the borough – and you’re invited! We caught up with Chris Barrett, founder of local Social Enterprise thinkFOUND and one of the businesses taking part in Argall Avenue Open Studios, an event being organised by a group of Lea Bridge businesses this winter.

Tell us more about your event!

thinkFOUND along with a load of other local business from the Argall Industrial Estate are hosting a winter market with Turning Earth on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, 11-5pm.

We have art, refreshments, frames, planters, pots, furniture, homeware and food. It is going to be festive, and it is going to be fun!

Lots of us will be opening our doors so you can explore our studio’s and learn more about what we all do.

Come and support some brilliant local businesses!

What are you most looking forward to about the event?

We’re looking forward to telling people about what thinkFOUND do and about our social mission; how we make items out of circular economy materials and how we support at risk youth into training and employment through our programmes.

I know other businesses are looking forward to sharing their work and products with local people as well.

Why are local customers important to you over the Christmas period?

Businesses like individuals are having to pay huge bills, rent rises and ever increasing costs for raw materials so any support buying our products or sharing our services is more important than it has ever been to help stay in business.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas time in Lea Bridge?

Why that would be this event of course! We have lots of great local businesses and food for you to enjoy. Come and join us!

How can people find out more about the event?

Keep an eye on our Instagram for full details @thinkfound

More information on the event can be found on our website too.
