If you haven't got your first dose of the vaccination yet, there's still time. It's never too late to get vaccinated and the first dose will give you that vital protection against Covid-19.

We have partnered with Better leisure to offer residents one month of free gym membership with their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

So don't wait to get vaccinated - schedule your vaccine or visit our vaccine clinic to get your free gym membership.

Who is eligible?

Anyone aged 16 years or older who lives or works in the borough, as well as existing and new gym members.

You must not have had a first vaccine dose before 1 January 2022.

How do you prove eligibility?

You will need to use the NHS app to prove your vaccination status and first vaccination after 1 January 2022. The staff on site will then support you with your free month’s membership.

Which gyms can you join?

Once you have had your first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, you can attend any of the borough’s Better leisure centres with proof of vaccination. Participating gyms include:

  • Chingford Leisure Centre
  • Leyton Leisure Centre
  • Leytonstone Leisure Centre
  • Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre
  • Walthamstow Leisure Centre

Where can you get your first dose of the vaccine?

You can get your vaccine at any of our vaccine community clinics. You don't need to make an appointment but booking is recommended to guarantee your vaccine. Please check the clinic timings and availability before you visit.

Why are we offering gym memberships?

Regular exercise has been shown to have a positive effect on both mental and physical health and is one of our five ways to wellbeing. We want to encourage our residents to be active and keep themselves healthy.

How long is the offer for?

The offer is ongoing until free memberships are no longer available.
