This winter, Waltham Forest is bursting with free opportunities for older people to enjoy themselves, stay active and warm, spend time with their community, and meet new friends.

From knitting groups and chair yoga to walking cricket and food support, activities are taking place in every corner of the borough, every day of the week.

Unless otherwise stated, these opportunities are all

  • free
  • suitable for all older people
  • drop-in only, so no need to book
  • running every week until the end of March 2026
