Applying to become a school governor

To apply as a local authority governor, download the school governor application pack (Word file), then return it by email to: governor.services@walthamforest.gov.uk 

Or send it to us by post. 

For other governor roles, apply directly to the school.

1. Governor Services will confirm receipt and review your application. 

2. Your details will be shared with schools looking for governors. 

3. Schools may invite you to speak informally or attend an interview. 

4. If appointed, you'll receive induction information and be supported in your role.
