A range of free support is available as part of a graduated approach in line with the SEND Code of Practice and Early Years Inclusion Pathway to support children where there may be concerns that they are not making expected levels of progress, and to establish whether they may have learning developmental delay/SEND.
Universal support
- a range of free activities, information and support available as part of the Best Start in Life Offer in Family Hubs
- drop in sessions with Speech and Language Therapists as part of Best Start in Life Offer
- support from Health Visitors as part of the healthy child programme
Targeted support (as part of Early Years Inclusion Pathway)
- Learning Together programme for under 2’s
- Learning Together Preschool programme for children 2 years and over

Specialist support (as part of Early Years Inclusion Pathway)

You and you child can expect to receive the following information and support at Targeted and Specialist sessions:
- a key person allocated to work with family
- completion of All About Me document to support keyworker to get to know the child
- activities in sessions and resources for families to use at home
- support to register with and access Best Start in Life/Family Hub services
- work with parents/carers to gather evidence to support a referral to specialist Health Services (if required)
- support to take up Family Hubs and/or Early Help services (if required)
- support to access parent/carers support service (if required)
- support to take up free early education and childcare place
- opportunity to network with other parents/carers
