Apply for in-year admissions

Use this service if you have parental responsibility and:

• have moved into the borough from elsewhere in the UK or abroad, and need a school place for your child
• want to change your child’s school at any time in the school year

If your child has an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), contact the SEND service:

You can apply for up to three schools as stated in the In year policy.

We can only discuss the application with the person who has made the application unless they have provided us with permission to discuss the application with someone else, for example, a family member. 

Children who are looked after, previously looked after, or on a child protection plan are given priority for a school place. 

Do not apply before 1 July if you are applying for a September place.

We aim to process all applications within 10 days.
