Apply for primary school

If you applied online by 15 January, you will be sent an email on 16 April with the outcome of your application on National Offer Day. 

If you made a paper application, offer letters will be sent by first-class post on 16 April.

Applications made after 15 January will not be responded to until after 16 April.  

You must accept the school place offered through your online eAdmissions account by 30 April 2026. After this date you will need to email your acceptance to admissions@walthamforest.gov.uk  

If you made a paper application, the letter explains how to accept the school place offered. 

If none of your preferences are offered, a place at a school with a vacancy nearest your home will be allocated. If you think another school would better meet your child’s needs, contact admissions@walthamforest.gov.uk to see if there are spaces available. 

If you are not happy with the school offer received and would like to appeal for a place at your preferred school, visit our school admission appeals webpage. 

You can check how places are allocated on 16 April 2026. This includes schools that: 

• are full, with their cut-off distances
• still have places
