Priory Court, Walthamstow

We propose to build 83 affordable new homes which will be a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments in three blocks ranging from five to six stories in height. All homes will feature private gardens or balconies and access to landscaped communal areas and play areas. 

As part of the development, a new Sports England Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and public play park for families with young children to enjoy will be provided. The MUGA will have floodlights within the court area, and street and bollard lighting will be added to make this space feel safe and secure to use. A spectator zone for parents, and a toilet and storage facility with office amenity space for adult supervision during community activities has also been included as part of its design.

• CCTV installed, as well as enhanced street lighting as part of a range of public realm improvements within the area.

• Planning application submitted and statutory consultation in April 2023
• Planning committee approved in July 2023
• Contractor procurement process in late Autumn 2023 
• Cabinet approval for 100% affordable housing in March 2024
• Contractor appointed in March 2024 
• Start on site in March 2024 
• Scheme due to complete in Autumn 2026
