Welcome to our new website!
Please have a look around and tell us what you think so we can improve it.
We want local residents, businesses, and community groups to continue to guide and shape the vision for the future of Lea Bridge.
Phase 2 of our public engagement is live and will run from Friday 26 November to Friday 14 January.
You can also come and speak to members of the Area Regeneration Delivery Team at our drop-in event at Lea Bridge Library (in the Ground Floor Café) on Saturday 4 December between 11am and 2pm.
We are preparing a new Area Framework for Lea Bridge and would like you to get involved. The Framework will create a vision for how Lea Bridge can grow, adapt and thrive in the future whilst building on its strengths and unique local landscape, heritage, economy and community.
The aim of the Lea Bridge Area Framework is to help coordinate change in the area and realise benefits of potential development and investment including public realm and open space improvements, climate adaptation initiatives, health facilities, community spaces and social infrastructure.
The Framework will align with the Council’s emerging Local Plan and Site Allocations as well as wider Economic Recovery work responding to the impact of Covid-19 and the Council’s response to the Climate Emergency Commission report. It will also feed into the Council’s Public Service Strategy and support in developing the strategy for 15-minute neighbourhoods in the borough.
We held our first phase of public engagement in July 2021 where we asked people to share their knowledge about the area and tell us their priorities for future investment in Lea Bridge.
We received a great response and would like to thank everyone who took part.
The feedback from this phase has informed our early ideas for the framework.
Phase 2 of our public engagement is live and will run from Friday 26 November to Friday 14 January. Have your say by completing the survey.
As well as the Lea Bridge Area Framework, the Council are engaging on a range of other initiatives which we want input from Lea Bridge residents, businesses and communities on. These include the:
|July 2021||Phase 1 public engagement to gather additional feedback to feed into the Area Framework|
|November 2021||Phase 2 public engagement on Draft Area Framework|
|Summer 2022||Phase 3 public engagement on Final Area Framework|
|2022||We publish the Area Framework|
