The Capital Delivery Team delivers residential, mixed use, commercial, corporate office and education development projects. Capital Delivery work in partnership with a range of developers, as well as directly delivering a wide range of regeneration schemes focussed on major social infrastructure, which may also include a housing element. All of the schemes contribute to the delivery of the Council’s Public Service Strategy and delivering a Fair Deal Economy.
By the end of 2026/27, we currently expect our Capital Delivery Programme to deliver:
- 1,862 new homes, of which c.867 will be affordable
- C.650 local construction and supply chain jobs
- C.180 apprenticeships and c.380 work placements
- C.15,000 sqm of community and cultural floor space, including essential infrastructure such as nurseries and health centres
- C.6,800 sqm of commercial floor space to support businesses
- Over 1,000 new trees planted
- A world-class families and housing services facility in Wood Street, E17
- 600 new secondary school places at Norlington, Kelmscott and Willowfield Schools
- 65 new alternative provision places for children and young people unable to access mainstream education
