Local Plan Part 1 includes policies on topics such as housing, climate change, green and blue infrastructure and built and natural heritage.

The policies in Local Plan Part 1 are used by the Council to make decisions of planning applications for development, alongside other planning policies that may be relevant, such as those contained in Local Plan Part 2: Site Allocations or the London Plan. You can read our guide to planning policy in the borough for more information.
