Road traffic schemes and consultations

Alert

Traffic and highway improvement schemes are usually designed and installed as the result of an accident or problem, in response to requests from residents or as part of a national policy (for example, the introduction of 20mph zones).

Below is a list of current road traffic schemes and consultations in Waltham Forest. The Council’s Traffic Management Order consultation documents can also be found on this page. Information on how and where to submit comment or objections can be found in the attached documents.

See details of previous consultations.

The Council is writing to inform you of our proposal to extend the Leytonstone North (LSN) Controlled Parking Zone in the section of Wallwood Road, E11, between Kings Road and Queens Road.

This unrestricted section of Wallwood Road is located between the existing LSN and LSW (Leytonstone West) CPZs, which operate Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm. Extending the CPZ would reserve on-street parking for permit holders during the hours of operation, enabling you and your visitors with permits to park in any permit bay on any road within the wider LSN CPZ area.

Waltham Forest Council is consulting existing residents of Lena Kennedy Close on the introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone. Introducing a permit parking scheme will help prevent commuters from parking in your road and will ensure that the car-free status of new developments in the area can be effectively enforced.

Please read this letter carefully and then return the completed questionnaire to reach us before 17 December 2020.
