Leader of the council

Cllr Chris Robbins, Leader of Waltham Forest Council

My name is Cllr Chris Robbins and I am the Leader of Waltham Forest Council. Thank you for visiting my web page.

I was elected to represent Waltham Forest for a third term in 2014 and it is my job to continue to help make this borough a better place to live, work and study.

My work involves leading on policy decisions, working alongside our partners in the police and health sector and liaising directly with central government to get a better deal for our residents and our borough.

Waltham Forest has a bright future. We are uniquely well-placed to benefit from East London’s regeneration and growth - but to capitalise on these opportunities we must continue to raise skills levels, unlock talents, tackle worklessness and invest in our borough and young people.

These pages aim to shed some light on my role and keep you updated on what I am doing to make Waltham Forest a better place. I hope you find them useful.
