Cllr Khevyn Limbajee, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, said: “I know residents will share my shock and concern after an incident yesterday in the Wood Street area in which a 14-year-old boy suffered stab wounds. We are awaiting an update on his condition, and we are all hoping that he is able to make a full recovery.

“Incidents such as these are very worrying. I know you will have questions about what we and the police are doing to provide reassurance and ensure that people are safe in Waltham Forest. An active police investigation is underway. We are supporting it any way we can, including by sharing CCTV footage and any intelligence we pick up.
