By law, we must hold:
- a public register for HMOs (PDF)
- a public register of selective licences
- a public register of temporary exemption notices (available on request)
- a public register of Management Orders (available on request)
This version is not the full version of the register but includes key details such as the premises address and the name of the licence holder. You may also view a full version of the register by appointment at the Council's offices. If you wish to view a copy of the property register, you can email propertylicensing@walthamforest.gov.uk giving at least 2 working days’ notice of your proposed date/time to visit the Council offices. The register would normally be available between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday only. If you require copies of any part of either register, this will be supplied to you in paper form at a cost of £10 per property/entry.
Check if a property is licensed
You can check if a property is licensed by searching the register.
Report an unlicensed property
If you think a rented property isn't licensed, or that it doesn't comply with the licensing conditions, please let us know by emailing propertylicensing@walthamforest.gov.uk
