What can I do in the payments module? 

You can do the following: 

  1. Check you rent account balance
  2. Make a payment towards your rent account
  3. View your statement history
  4. Download your statement history
  5. Request a refund 
How do I access the payments module? Once you have logged in to the resident portal, you can access the payments section by clicking in ‘Payments’ link at the bottom of the welcome screen. 
How do I make a payment? 

Once you have logged into the resident portal: 

  • Click ‘Payments’
  • Click ‘Make a Payment’ 

You can also click ‘Make a payment’ in the popup window which shows your account balance as soon as you log in to the resident portal. 

Is the payments process secure? Yes, the resident portal does not handle your payment details. You will be redirected to our secure and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant payment system to handle your payment details. Once you have successfully made a payment, you will be returned back into the resident portal. The payments system is the same system we use on the main Waltham Forest council website to handle rent payments. 
I’ve just made a payment, but why is the payment is not showing in the statement history?  It usually takes up to 48 hours for your payment transaction to appear in the statement history of the resident portal. Please return to the portal after two working days 
Will I be able to access my rent account statements? Yes. On the welcome screen you can either click on the ‘View statements’ button in the account balance section or click ‘Payments’ link and scroll down to the ‘Statement history’ section. 
How much rent account statement history can I view? The portal will provide you history of the last three months. You have the option to change this to view six months, 12 months, and three years maximum. 
Will I be able to download my rent account statements? Yes. Click on the ‘Download Statement’ button in the ‘Statement history’ section. It will download the history you can see on the screen. If you want to download three years of history for example, please select option to view three years history before clicking on the ‘Download statement’ button 
The account balance box is highlighted in green. What does this mean? If your rent account balance box is highlighted in green, it means your rent account is currently in credit. 
The account balance box is highlighted in pink. What does this mean? If your rent account balance box is highlighted in pink, it means your rent account is currently in arrears. We suggest you make a payment towards your rent account as soon as possible.  
Can I make a payment anytime?Yes, anytime; however at certain times during the year the portal will be unavailable while we undertake essential maintenance tasks.
