There are a range of voluntary and community sector organisations offering advice, guidance and support, including financial support.
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for veterans and serving personnel and their families including providing expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life. There are branch locations in Chingford, Leytonstone, Walthamstow,
AgeUK Veteran provides a warm and welcoming community for veterans to join and receive support. This includes Coffee Club and Drop-in sessions, Breakfast and Lunch clubs and a variety of activities and events.
Citizens Advice Waltham Forest is an independent service providing advice on various issues including money, benefits, housing, employment, and more. They can also help you apply for further aid.
Forest Savers is the Council's credit union, which is now also open to residents of the borough. Forest Savers offer loans for those who don’t have a good credit rating. They are currently offering a 3 month 0% loan for repayment in 2023.
