Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis after Sexual Exposure (PEPSE)

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medication you can take to reduce your risk of HIV infection. People who are at high risk of becoming infected with HIV are eligible for PrEP. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, All East can provide advice.

Post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV after sexual exposure (PEPSE) is a four week course of HIV medication you can take after unprotected sex or a condom accident, to reduce your risk of becoming HIV positive. PEPSE must be started within 72 hours of the unprotected sex or condom accident. It is best to start PEPSE as soon as possible.

You can access PrEP and PEPSE by making an appointment to visit an All East Clinic.
