We've developed a Local Outbreak Management Plan for Waltham Forest, to help us manage any COVID-19 outbreaks in the borough.
This plan outlines how we'll stop the virus spreading by specifically addressing the needs of our community. We'll work with residents, businesses, faith groups and organisations to better understand testing rates, and how we can trace the infection if it spreads.
Local outbreak management plan
In Waltham Forest, preventing Covid-19 is our top priority. We will ensure that all of our residents, organisations and businesses have the information they need to protect their health. By working closely with our communities, we'll reduce concerns and provide extra support where needed.
If there is another outbreak, we'll be ready to act quickly to manage and contain it. We'll continually learn from data and our residents’ experiences to improve our approach to save lives and protect our freedoms.

Covid-19 community statement
We know that for the plan depends on how well we work with the community to deliver it.
We're asking all community partners (including from faith groups, organisations and local businesses) to sign up to our community statement (PDF). This sets out our joint commitment to get rid of Covid-19 from Waltham Forest and keep residents safe.
