Educational psychologists offer support bringing about positive change in young people.
The aim is to promote and facilitate the educational, social and emotional development of children and young people.
Most of our work takes place in schools and other educational settings (e.g. pre-schools, children centres, specialist provisions) with parents/carers, teachers and other adults to help children and young people make progress and address any concerns relating to their educational, social-emotional and well being. We work closely with parents / carers and ensure their perceptions are key to any assessment undertaken.
We work in partnership with young people, families, schools, practitioners, services and voluntary agencies.
If you have a concern about your child, please contact the educational setting or another professional and ask the setting to consider making a request for EP's involvement. Waltham Forest EPs will require parental consent before providing any input with the child.
