Why we are delivering this fund
Play matters. It supports mental and physical health, reduces isolation, and helps people of all ages feel connected. Yet not everyone has equal access to safe, fun spaces. Together We Play is part of our ambition to make Waltham Forest a more equal borough, creating opportunities for everyone to benefit from play.
The fund
Together We Play is a £50,000 fund to create inclusive, community-led play opportunities across Waltham Forest.
Our focus is on reducing inequalities for residents who experience barriers to play. This may include families in temporary accommodation, young carers, children and young people with SEND, migrant families, intergenerational connections or other groups facing disadvantage (for example, low-income households).
The grant scheme is designed to support activities taking place in Waltham Forest between May and October 2026.
