Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Opening Event and Beacon Lighting

Kick off your bank holiday celebrations and join us for an evening of entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of Fellowship Square. As well as food and drink stalls for you to enjoy, a specially commissioned Platinum Jubilee soundtrack and fountain display will be unveiled at 5.30pm and played hourly throughout the evening.  There will also be performances from local youth dance companies L.E.A.D.E.R.S and X7eaven and music from local choir the Hi Lo Singers.  The evening will culminate as darkness falls with the lighting of the Waltham Forest beacon at 9.45pm, one of hundreds of beacons that will be lit simultaneously across the country, and internationally, to mark this historic occasion.
