Knit and sew during Repair Week at Priory Court Community Living Room
The Community Living Room at Priory Court Community Centre is a warm and welcoming space where people can relax, play, socialise or simply sit by oneself in comfort. It is open every Monday and Thursday from 12pm to 6pm.
This space is run by William Morris Big Local and funded by Waltham Forest council funding.
Knitting and sewing are just some of the activities they have on offer.
On Monday 20th March from 1pm to 3pm there will be a Knit & Natter session. Learning how to knit can be useful for repairing your knitwear or patching worn fabric up before it becomes a hole. Techniques like duplicate stitching, darning, or the good old method of a knitted patch over the hole can be used. Come and give knitting a try as part of Repair Week!
