Families are invited to attend these free, drop-in cookery workshops where the emphasis is on taking part in a fun, hands on and practical workshop preparing an internationally themed lunch for families to enjoy together at the end of each event.

At the same time, participants will have an opportunity to develop some really useful cooking skills which are foundational to successful home cooking. The workshops which will run once a month will open up a world of delicious simple recipes for each participant, their family and friends to enjoy for years to come and potentially save them £££'s at the same time.

Each workshop will be themed around a dish from a different country from around the world. There will be a focus on Product, Price and Preservation. Participants will acquire knowledge related to where we sourced the ingredients, how much we paid and the best ways to prepare and where necessary preserve the ingredients and dishes to avoid unnecessary wastage.

Participants will work as a team, each contributing to the various cooking tasks and as a team cooperating with each other and working towards preparing a meal for everyone to enjoy together. During each event, there will be some challenges introduced which will invite participants to apply mathematical skills useful to ensuring budgets are maintained and recipes followed reasonably closely.
